I am addicted to sugar. I really am. I dont know when it happened, or how it happened, it just happened. Ill have a freezer full of treats - timeouts, freddos, little mars bars. I have jars of allens lollies in the cupboard. Ill hide full blocks of chocolate in behind things so that only I can find them when I need a hit. I buy a packet of dark chocolate bullets every week at shopping...
This past weekend I read an article in the Sunday Life magazine about "quitting sugar" by Sarah Wilson (www.sarahwilson.com.au). It got me thinking about weight loss and how even tho I am working my body harder than I ever have, Im only really losing small amounts of weight. I know that it will all add up - but COME ON.
So, when I decided to stop eating sugar, I shoved the final two freddos from the freezer into my mouth and then had my first cup of tea with no sugar. I figured that if I started just then, my body would just adapt nicer after a night of sleep...
Its now Monday 9:00am and I have not had any sugar since 4pm yesterday. Lets see how we go!
